Breweries Through the DMV

In the hot summer weather a cold pint of beer will keep you cool. So gather some friends and check out these breweries in the DMV area. Most have outdoor seating options for you to enjoy a cold brew outside! As always, please remember to drink responsibly and designate a sober driver!

Guinness Open Gate Brewery
You get the Luck O’ the Irish by having the Guinness Brewery right here in your backyard! Located in Halethorpe, Md, this brewery is designed just like the original in Dublin and onsite is an experimental brewery, taproom, restaurant, food truck, and beer garden all in one.  Situated on 1.5 acres, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and is wonderfully friend- and family-friendly.

Dogfish Head
Dogfish Head has it all! In addition to the Brewery and Distillery located in Milton, Del., it also has two restaurant locations in Rehoboth Beach, and Alehouses in Gaithersburg, Fairfax, and Falls Church.

Jailbreak Brewing Company
Break into checking out this brewery located in Laurel that has over a dozen beers, including their top 5 favorites on tap, plus seasonal and limited release brews. Their onsite restaurant, FoodWorks, has indoor seating, carry out and curbside pickup options. 

Forward Brewing
It’s small but mighty! Located in Annapolis’s Eastport neighborhood, Forward Brewing has a front taproom and a nano brewery in the back. Open for outdoor dining and carry-out, Forward is passionate about serving you a fresh and local product.

Crooked Crab Brewing Company
Naming this brewery after a Maryland staple is a great place to start. Crooked Crab is in Odenton, Md., and has 16 taps of year round and seasonal brews, Monday happy hours, taco Tuesdays, trivia Wednesdays, and a lineup of (mostly) daily food trucks. It’s also kid- and dog-friendly.

Eastern Shore Brewing
Eastern Shore Brewing in St. Michael’s is the oldest brewery on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Open 7 days a week, it offers 10 beers on tap and both indoor and outdoor seating. They even take on the famous Summer Orange Crush with their own spin!
