Lighted Boat Parades in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

The air might be nippy, but the holiday spirit is alive during the lighted boat parades navigating the waterways of Maryland and Washington, DC. Bundle up and make plans to see at least one of these spectacular events as boat captains and crew navigate local rivers and creeks. You might even sing along with a few Christmas carols and you will definitely catch the holiday feeling as you watch the lighted boat parades. 

Eastport Yacht Club Parade of Lights. Dec 14th 6-8pm
Along Spa Creek, Annapolis
This annual event features beautifully decorated boats parading through the Annapolis harbor.

Baltimore Lighted Boat Parade. Dec 7, 5:45-8pm
Baltimore
Starting at Anchorage Marina in Canton, passing Fell’s Point around 6 p.m.,  and parading to the waterfront towards the Inner Harbor. 

Bear Creek Lighted Boat Parade: Dec. 7, 5pm
Dundalk
Boats will be gathering around 5 PM. Parade starts and finishes at the Hard Yacht Cafe.

Bohemia River Boaters Light Parade, Dec 7, 5pm
Chesapeake City – starting at the mouth of the Bohemia then east towards the Chesapeake City Bridge. Good places to watch it from will be Pells Gardens, Bayard House, Schaefer’s, and Chesapeake Inn Restaurant and Marina.

Deale Parade of Lights: Dec. 15, 5:30pm
The Deale Parade of Lights travels along Rockhold Creek in Southern Anne Arundel County. Area restaurants Wharf 38, Skippers Pier, Dockside Restaurant and Happy Harbor are sponsors and offer good viewing points. 

Pasadena Boat Parade: Dec. 7, 5pm
Parade Boaters cast off at 5pm and motor to Rock Creek, then do two loops through Stoney Creek and Nabbs Creek from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Boaters and Santa return to THE BROKEN OAR at 7:30pm bringing Christmas cheer to all! There will be Christmas Music, a Kiddie Corner, a special drink menu for all ages, and plenty of viewing areas for all! Admission to the party at The Broken Oar is $5

Christmas in St. Michaels: Dec. 14, 6pm
Decorated boats will travel around the St. Michaels Harbor. CBMM will open their campus with free admission after 5:00 pm, and there are many other free sites around the harbor to observe the parade.

Solomons Island Lighted Boat Parade. Dec 14  
Solomons, MD
A charming parade featuring boats decorated for the holiday season. The parade will begin at dusk and end along the Riverwalk at approximately 7:15 p.m. The Calvert Marine Museum will be open with free admission from 6-9pm with live musical entertainment in the Harms Gallery. Visit Santa and the Otter mascot, make holiday crafts, and shop in the Museum Store during the event. Santa’s Coffee House will be open with complimentary hot cocoa, coffee, and holiday cookies.

Holiday Boat Parade & Party at The Wharf. Dec 7, 5-8pm
760 Maine Avenue, SW. Washington, D.C.
5:00–8:00pm — Activities throughout The Wharf (Corona Cheer Garden, s’mores, ornament decorating, live music by DC bands, visits with Santa & much more)
7:00pm — Boats arrive in the Washington Channel, Tommy McFly emcees the parade
8:00pm — Fireworks Finale
Spectator admission is free.
