Reduced Ticket Prices To The Maryland Zoo

As Temperatures Drop, So Does Admission To The Maryland Zoo

Ticket prices at the Maryland Zoo will be reduced starting on Friday, January 3rd, and continuing through the end of  February. General admission to the Zoo drops from $33 to just $24.

The lower admission reflects reduced visitor and animal activity during the year’s coldest months. Along with the admission price drop, the Zoo limits the days it is open to Fridays through Mondays each weekend. The admission price includes unlimited rides on the Zoo’s popular train and carousel (weather permitting).

“The variety of animals you’ll be able to see each day depends on the weather conditions. We make every effort to give our guests an amazing experience, but the health and safety of the animals are always our top priorities,” said Maryland Zoo President & CEO, Kirby Fowler.

Animals such as prairie dogs, African penguins, Amur leopards, cheetahs, lions, and otters will likely be visible in colder weather. Visitors may also enjoy animals like chimpanzees and giraffes in their indoor areas and informative question-and-answer sessions with animal keepers.

The Zoo will return to its regular pricing on March 1st.
