Get Spooked at Haunted Houses in Maryland

Boo! Calling all Halloween fans, celebrate Friday the 13th on September 13, 2024 and start the Spooky Season early. So many of the scary, spooky and fun attractions like Haunted Houses and Fields of Terror in Maryland are opening earlier this year to mark this special occasion and give you more chances to get spooked. This is a great time of year to get started on all things Halloween, including haunted hayrides, flashlight nights, escape rooms, and chilling thrills. Be sure to check the websites for ticket information as well as recommendations for age appropriateness and scare level. No matter which one you choose, it will be a howling good time!

Anne Arundel County

AVFD Station 7 Terror Trail
Opening Night is September 28, then open Friday-Saturday October 4-October 26.

A family friendly haunt with activities for everyone. We have a scary Terror trail recommended for 8 years and older and offer activities for younger children at the ticket booth and families can enjoy our Boo Haunt loop – geared for those under 8 years old. Bennett’s Curse Haunted House
Open Fridays through Sundays starting September 27; Hours depend on the day. Special for 2024: Open on Friday the 13th!

Cornstalkers Trail of Terror
Open Fridays through Sundays starting October 4 to November 2 plus October 31; Hours depend on the day. We highly suggest using our online timed ticketing for purchases but are allowing walk-ups for ticket sales only as tickets are available. This Halloween attraction is of high intensity and has no age restriction however, it is recommended for ages 10 & up. Four Attractions include The Barnyard, Cornstalkers Trail, Graves Farmhouse, and Resurrection.

Legends of the Fog
Open Fridays through Sundays starting September 27 to November 2; Open on 3 select Thursdays and hours depend on the day. Explore an imaginative world of scares with our legendary Haunted Hayride, Haunted Hotel, Haunted Maze, and Slaughter House.

Mongtgomery County

Field of Screams
Open Friday and Saturday starting September 27, then open Thursdays through Sundays October 10-November 2. Hours depend on the day. Attractions include Haunted trail, Trail of Terror, Slaughter Factory and Carnival Town Games. Over 55 horrifying stations! Must purchase tickets online, no onsite ticket sales. The attraction is intended to be very scary and are staffed with very good actors. It is difficult to recommend an appropriate age for any event: some 10 year olds participate and they love it, while some 13 year olds are escorted off the trail in tears. Parental discretion is advised.

Built inside of an abandoned movie theatre featuring escape rooms, haunted house and paranormal tours.
