Explore the Outdoors at Tuckahoe State Park
A 60-acre lake, featuring fishing and kayaking, serves as the anchor for exploring the outdoors at Tuckahoe State Park. The lake has a boat launch on one side and a sandy beach, playground, and picnic tables on the opposite side.
Twenty miles of easy hiking trails run through the park. The Lake Trail connects to the camping area and playground, which overlooks the lake. The Fitness Trail includes 28 animal-related physical fitness stations along the 1.72-mile natural surface trail through loblolly pine trees.
There are two large picnic areas, each with shaded sites, charcoal grills, playground equipment, and horseshoe pits.
Tuckahoe Creek, a quiet country stream bordered for most of its length by wooded marshlands, runs through the park and is accessible from the lake. Over a slow paddle up the creek, you may see eagles, herons, and beavers.
