July Fairs and Festivals include the popular Smithsonian Folklife Festival, many Independence Day Festivals, and crab feasts, watermelon festivals and many outdoor concerts.
Maryland Festivals July 2-3
July 2 – 7, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, National Mall in Washington, D.C. The theme this year is Youth and the Future of Culture. Young musicians and entrepreneurs, skaters and artists, activists and craftspeople, and a host of others will collaborate, share, demonstrate, and discuss how they are shaping the future on their own terms. Free.
July 3, Boonsboro Independence Day Celebration, Shafer Park, Boonsboro. Music and vendors, 5pm. Fireworks at 9:30pm. Free.
July 3, Taneytown Independence Day Celebration. Taneytown Memorial Park. Music, food, games, and a DJ, 6:00 pm. Fireworks go off at 9:30 pm. Free.

July 4, Annapolis July 4th Parade & Fireworks. The parade starts at 6:30pm from City Dock. Fireworks at 9:30pm. Free
July 4, Baltimore 4th of July Celebration.
July 4, Cherry Hill Arts & Music Festival, Middle Branch Park, Baltimore. Local, regional, national, and even international music acts, children’s activities, art making, and experiences for all ages. Free. 1-10 pm.
July 4, Bel Air July 4th Celebration, Bel Air. See Scheduled for location details. Pancake breakfast, horseshoe pitching, bike rodeo. Parade at 6pm. Fireworks at 9:30pm. Free.
July 4, Chestertown Fireworks, Wilmer Park, 413 Cross Street, Chestertown. Fireworks begin at 9:10pm.
July 4, County County Farm Museum Fourth of July Celebration, Westminster. Starting at 4pm with fireworks going off at sundown (approximately 9:30pm). Admission is $10 per car. There will be food, live entertainment, children’s activities and more.
July 4, Frederick’s 4th, Baker Park, Frederick. Two stages of entertainment alongside family-friendly rides, activities, food, and fireworks from noon to dusk. Free.
July 4, Leonardtown Fourth at the Wharf, Leonardtown Wharf Park. An afternoon of contests, activities, yard games, tasty food, and a FREE live concert featuring Midnight Sunsets! 3-7pm. Free.
July 4, Poolesville 4th of July Fireworks, Soccer Fields off Hughes Road, Poolesville. There will be music, food, fireworks, and fun! Gates open at 5 pm. Free.
July 4, Rockville Independence Day Celebration, Mattie J.T. Stepanek Park, Rockville. 7-10pm. Enjoy live music from a variety of bands and a 20-minute fireworks display at 9:15pm
July 4, Shady Side July 4th Parade. Everyone is invited to particiapte. Participants should arrive no later than 9:30am. Parade starts at 10am. Floats line up on Cedarhurst Road and check in at Corner Grill. Cars, trucks, ATV’s and any motorized vehicles should line up on West River Road and check in near the post office. Walkers and bicycles will meet in the driveway of Shady Side Soft Serve and check in at the table.
July 4, Takoma Park 4th of July Parade and Evening Celebration. Parade at 10 am. Evening celebration from 6-9 pm, with Live Music, Food Trucks, Beer & Wine Garden, Kids’ Activities and more.
July 5, Havre de Grace Independence Day Celebration. Parade at 2pm, 5:30 pm concert Hutchins Park, 7:30 pm concert Concord Point Park, 9;30 pm Fireworks.
July 5, Laurel Independence Day Celebration. The parade route begins at 4th Street and Marshall Avenue, 3 pm. Family Fun Games on the Laurel Lake Field, 3 – 6 pm. Fireworks from the Lake 9:15 pm.

July 10 – 13, Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival. St. Clement’s Island Museum, Colton’s Point. Visitors are encouraged to relax waterside on the scenic museum lawn and enjoy national jazz artists, lots of delicious local seafood and gorgeous views of the Potomac River. Ticket prices start at $80.16
July 11 – 13, Baltimore Washington One Carnival. Druid Hill Park, Baltimore. The Carnival festivities begin with a Caribbean-style parade that makes its way throughout the streets of Baltimore. The fun continues on Saturday afternoon and all day on Sunday, with a family, fun-filled, Caribbean festival showcasing live music and entertainment. General Admission Carnival tickets $20.
July 11 – 13, Romanian Weekend at the Wharf. Washington D. C. Three days of non-stop music, traditional crafts demonstrations, literary performances, culinary presentations, temporary exhibitions, wine & sampling, and interactive activities. Free admission
July 12, Carroll County Car Fest, Westminster. Come enjoy live music, great food, local drinks, and fun for all ages! Shop Local with Artisan Vendors. Sip & Savor at Local Breweries and Wineries. $20/vehicle.
July 12, Baltimore Magazine’s Crab Fest, B & O Railroad Museum, Baltimore. Talented chefs are incorporating crabs into inventive, handheld bites. Think: crab tacos, pretzels, corn, and more. July 12 & 13, Maryland German Festival, Timonium State Fairgrounds. The Maryland German Festival offers schnitzel, wurst, and other authentic German foods, live music and dancing, craft and clothing vendors, and great free activities for the kids. Adults $16.75
July 13, Senfest, Silver Spring. 1 Veterans Place, Silver Spring. Providing a variety of activities for all ages by exploring Senegalese and African food, music, arts, history, culture in an entertaining and educational atmosphere. 10 am – 10:30 pm.
